EVANSDALE MUNICIPAL HOUSING AUTHORITY

Partnering with HUD, we provide Housing Choice Vouchers (HCV) and Project-Based Vouchers (PBV) to help eligible families secure safe housing and foster self-sufficiency throughout Evansdale.

WAITLIST IS CLOSED with preferences.

If you meet ONE of the following criterion you may be eligible to apply:

Preferences

• If you are 62 years old or older.

• If you currently are approved for or are recieving SSI or SSDI.

• If you Live or work within the Evansdale IA city limits.

For help with the application process, please contact the EMHA at 319-234-0385. Applications are by appointment only.

Our Housing Services

Managed Housing Programs

We offer well-maintained Project-Based rental units located in Evansdale that are designed to provide safe and secure living environments for individuals and families who qualify.

Section 8 Support

Assisting residents with housing choice vouchers to secure quality homes within the private rental market.

We help link residents to various local organizations that provide support for utility payments, rental aid, and security deposits. Our team provides referrals to our network of partners to help meet your basic needs. Residents can call the office for further information.

To ensure a representative is available to assist you, we require all in-person office visits to be scheduled by appointment only.
