This payment standard amount must include a utility allowance for all utilities that are not included in the rent. This may affect the total rent amount a landlord can charge. Please contact EMHA for more details and to confirm that proposed rents work with the current payment standards and utility allowance amounts.

HCV Payments
Rent payments are processed electronically. EMHA pays the subsidy portion directly to you on the first of each month.

Are you new to the Section 8 voucher program?
Joining the Housing Choice Voucher program as a new landlord is a rewarding way to secure stable monthly payments while helping Evansdale grow. If you are new to Section 8, getting started is easy: simply ensure your rental meets basic safety requirements and list your property. You will screen applicants using your own criteria, and EMHA will guide you through a standard inspection process. Once completed, we facilitate the contract so you can begin receiving direct subsidy payments. We are here to help new partners every step of the way.
